The FM Operating Platform is live: Workspace

The biggest addition yet. Workspace is a real, working operations tool, not just reference content: register your sites and assets, run digital audits that generate findings with corrective actions and photo evidence, track contractors and statutory compliance, manage your team's roles, and issue API keys for your own integrations. It sits behind the same login as everything else — go to Workspace and create your first organisation to try it.

New pages and templates this month

Two new reference pages — Security Standards (SIA/SIRA licensing, Martyn's Law) and Project Management (CDM 2015/RIBA for the UK, authority NOCs for the UAE). Four new downloads brought the FM Templates library to 17: a Security Compliance Checklist, FM Project Management Plans for the UK and UAE, and an SOP & EOP Document Register. The Regional Legislation page also gained AI Governance and Community Management/Owners' Association coverage for the UAE, Qatar and KSA.

What's coming next

Three things in progress, none of them live yet, so we're not going to pretend otherwise: paid membership tiers going live through Stripe (Professional/Business/Enterprise, priced separately from the free tier); an AI assistant inside Workspace for drafting findings and FM guidance; and turning this page from a one-way feed into an actual member-posted forum. No fixed dates — we'd rather ship each one properly than promise a deadline we miss.

Is there a mobile app coming?

Asked a lot since Workspace launched, so an honest answer: nothing's been built or committed to. Workspace is a web app you can already open from a phone browser — that's the current mobile story. A dedicated native app is something we'd consider once the web platform has real usage behind it, not before. If that's something you'd use, the founding member feedback channel is the place to say so.

Welcome to the FMHub community

Why we built this as an open space from day one — not gated behind Professional, unlike the template library. Community only works if everyone can actually show up to it.

Why ISO 41001 came first

Of the six standards in the Compliance Hub, 41001 shipped first and deepest. Here's the reasoning: it's the one that actually structures everything else FM does, so it made the least sense to leave thin.

Founding cohort: 100 spots, here's why

We capped the founding cohort deliberately rather than running an open-ended "early access" that never really closes. 100 people in each of the UK, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, whose price and feedback genuinely shape the roadmap, not a marketing label.

Discussion forum

FMHub Community — Coming Soon

Where FM professionals connect, share knowledge and solve operational challenges. We are building the forum properly, with moderation, before opening it, so there is nothing to post to yet.

Planned topics: Compliance, Cleaning & Soft Services, Asset Management, UAE / GCC Market and General Discussion.
